INTRODUCTION
-------------------------------------
RasterOps ScreenShift is a utility that allows you to perform fine adjustments to the horizontal timing of the display adapter to match the monitor.
There are two components in the package:
• ScreenShift application provides a user interface to adjust and save the timing values.
• ScreenShift INIT picks up the saved values and loads them to the display adapter automatically on bootup.
This version of the RasterOps ScreenShift utility supports the Macintosh Quadra™ built-in video and the following RasterOps display boards:
1. Drag the ScreenShift INIT to the System folder icon of your startup drive and reboot the Macintosh.
2. Launch the ScreenShift application. ScreenShift displays a dialog box showing the display adapters installed in your Macintosh. It also provides left and right arrows to adjust the horizontal timing, and buttons to Revert, Save and Quit.
3. Click the radio button to select the display adapter you wish to control.
4. Click the left or right arrows, as needed, to adjust the horizontal timing.
5. Click Save button to save the horizontal timing for this board. The information is saved in the slot Parameter Ram (PRAM) for RasterOps display adapter and in a preference file for Quadra built-in video.
6. Click the Revert button to revert the horizontal timing to last saved values.
7. Click the Quit button to exit.
The timing values saved will be used by ScreenShift INIT at the next bootup to adjust the screen.
